paraphrase小技巧

首先，咱们先来看一个写作题目：

Education is the single most important factor in the development of a country.Do you agree or disagree?

教育是一个国家发展最最重要的因素。你同意还是反对？

看到这道题目，有些烤鸭们经常会这样开头：

I agree that education is the single most important factor in the development of a counrty because...

这么写语法上有错误吗？并没有！

单词拼写有错误吗？也并没有！

但是！！

最大的问题在于除了I agree that这三个词之外，

重复了题目的问题！

所以在雅思写作中，烤鸭们一定要注意

这么写是会丢分的噢！

因为考官会认为你没有

show your ability

只是单纯地在copy

所以学会paraphrase

非常得重要

接下来我们就看看具体如何操作呢！

Synonyms(同义词) are words that have same meaning, but different world.

For example: big vs large

回到上面我们举的这个作文题：

Education is the single most important factor in the development of a country.Do you agree or disagree?

对于这道题目，我们可以找到synonyms来替换题目中的关键词：

education →schooling 

important →significant, essential

factor→aspect, element

development →advancement, evolution

country→nation 

所以如果想重复写作题目，大家可以这么写：

Schooling is the single most significant element in the advancement of a nation.

tip:

大家在找synonym的时候一定要注意两个单词的意思，一定要是一样的噢！

改变句子的结构一个很简单的方法就是：

verbs ☜☞nouns☜☞adjectives

比如：

development→develop

technology→technical

除此之外，还可以改变句子当中的顺序

我们举的这个作文题：

Education is the single most important factor in the development of a country.Do you agree or disagree?

就可以变成

The most essential element of a nation's development is education. 

Education is the single most important factor in the development of a country.Do you agree or disagree?

在英文写作中，我们还可以用让步状语从句开始一篇文章，一般翻译为"尽管……"或"即使……"，就是我们日常生活中用的"退一步说…"的感觉。所以，在文章开头，我们还可以这样写;

Although many would argue that the economy is the most important factor in nation-building, I think education has a far greater impact.
