快餐店英语Is it for here or to go到底是什么意思啊？

对于长期处于“非英语语言环境”的我们，“学”如此，“用”也如此，如何保持英语的“活”性，如何在“非英语语言环境”下自己的英语“还会说”，“还会用”是必须考虑的根本性问题。

因此，训练“见英语说英语”的习惯和能力就是出路之一。

比如，我们看到下面出现在快餐店里的英语：

A.Is that for here or to go?

B. It's for here/Here.

B.It's to go/To go, please.

你认为这么简单的英语“看懂了”。

那么，你是怎么“看懂”的呢？

用中文啊！

如果是“用英语啊”，你又“用”了哪些英语？“说”出来听听。

估计见到英语Is that for here or to go“能说”英语的不多。

你看我是怎样见英语Is that for here or to go时，“说”英语的：

1.Okay.I got you.If an employee in a fast food restaurant says: Is that for here or to go,he just wants to know whether you're eating in the restaurant (here) or taking it somewhere else outside the restaurant (to go) .

2.If you say For here, he'll give you a tray (会主动使用这个英语词吗？我不告诉你中文) to put your food on.

3.If you say To go,he'll put your food in a bag to go with.

你可以“不知道”Is that for here or to go的中文，但是，能说出这样的英语，你一定不需要中文就“知道”它的(英语)意思了。

这就是非英语语言环境下我们学英语必须练就的英语语言能力。有了这样的英语能力，有没有英语语言环境已经不重要了。

我上面“说”的英语不是什么“标准答案”，你也可以有自己的英语表达：

学英语，记住“原话”Is that for here or to go已经不容易，再要求你记住和会说它的英语意思就更加难上加难。

这才是我们掌握英语最大的挑战。

当然，如果你是有学和说的英语语言环境，则完全可以不必须这么“学”，直接记它的中文意思，然后在语言环境中“用”就是了。不过这是另外一码事。此处按下不表。

最后，以我所在的美国Georgia St.为例，店员说Is it for here or to go是有另外一层含义的：在店内吃，要加上sales tax(销售税)，出去吃，不加。
