前些天我们学过一个简略的表达：gimme，不知道大家有没有在自己讲英语时运用起来呢？大家都知道，英语的语速是非常快的，这些简略的表达事实上是在快速发音时自然形成的连读和省略。 今天我们再来学习一个很常用的简略表达： dunno 看到这个词，你能猜出意思吗？如果不行，试着拼读一下，看看接近什么发音？说出来是不是很像： don’t know 这个表达就是“don’t know”快速发音时的真实发音，虽然这种快速发音是在非正式的口语中使用的，“dunno”这个表达却是其书面形式。用字典中的解释就是：“a way of writing 'don't know’ that shows how it sounds in informal conversation”所以，你会在很多原版书中发现这个词。 这个词可以单独使用，成为单字句，也可以接在I后使用。 A: Where are we exactly? 我们到底在哪儿？ B: Dunno. 不知道。 A: Do you want to come? 你想要来吗？ B: I dunno, I might. 我不知道。也许吧。 A: How on earth did she know about it? 她到底是怎么知道这事的？ B: I dunno. 我不知道。 I dunno the answers to any of those questions. 这些问题的答案我都不知道。 在文学作品中的运用： “Whatʼre those things?” whispered Ron. “Dunno,”said Harry. 罗恩轻声问：“这些是什么？”哈利说：“不知道。” —J.
